About COODA
The Canadian Observatory on De-banking Abuse
The Canadian Observatory on De-banking Abuse (COODA) was founded to shine a light on a silent and often invisible injustice: the systemic exclusion of individuals and communities from financial services without due process, explanation, or recourse.
What We Are Doing
Research & Documentation
We are gathering data, case studies, and testimonials to reveal patterns of abuse in financial exclusion.
Advocacy & Reform
We are working with community leaders, legal experts, and civil society groups to push for policy changes and regulatory oversight
Policy Monitoring & Accountability
We are monitoring financial regulations and policies related to de-banking
Our Mission
To expose and document the discriminatory practices of de-banking by financial institutions, which unfairly target and exclude Muslim-led and humanitarian charities under the pretense of "risk management." We advocate for policy reform to achieve fair banking and financial access.
